YEW’s New Wallet-Friendly Reverse Happy Hour

Award-winning Bartending Lauren Mote teams up with Executive Chef Weimar Gomez to create an inviting Reverse Happy Hour concept at YEW.  Five new cocktails and five new dishes have been custom created to enjoy for $10 each and available seven days a week from 8pm to 11pm.

 

Cocktails and dishes featured in their recommended pairings below:

Cocktail: Teatro Colón – Inspired by a classic Cuban cocktail and named after a famous Opera House in Buenes Aires.  Features Absolut Vodka, Black + Green Cardamom, Seville + Tangerine Oranges, Lemon, Palermo Bitters, Sparkling Wine
Bite: Edamame Duo, Hummus With Sea Kelp Cracker & Steamed With Sea Salt

Cocktail: Careyeros – Known for its chilies and agave spirits, Punta Mita’s Careyeros Plateau also serves up a breathtaking 360 degree view of the ocean. Features Altos Plata Tequila, Dry Vermouth + Tamarind, Fernet Branca, Turmeric + Ancho Reyes Chili Liqueur, Condesa Bitters.
Bite: YEW Poutine, Hand Cut Kennebec Fries, Emma Farm Cheese Curd, Lobster Bisque

Cocktail: Highveld Colada – A twist on a Piña Colada inspired by the South African plateau near Johannesburg that runs fragrant with Marula fruit. Features: Havana Club 3 YO White Rum, Marula Fruit + Pineapple, Sweetened Coconut, Plum & Rootbeer Bitters
Bite: Albacore Tuna Poke. Crispy Noodle, Ginger, Soy, Sesame

Cocktail: Expat Booster – An exotic and energizing cocktail blending the unexpected combination of Irish favourites and Indonesian flavours.
Features Jameson Irish Whiskey, Red Vermouth + Cold Brew Espresso, Spiced Black Tea + Banana, Western Haskap Bitters
Bite: Tempura Rock Shrimp With Ponzu Sauce

Cocktail: Palmeraie – Named after a lush Morroccan Palm oasis and inspired by the flowers, colours, sounds and sunshine of the African continent. Features Beefeater Gin, Dry Sherry + Lemon, Rose + Hibiscus Flowers, Fresh Egg White, Lem-Marrakech Bitters
Bite: Seafood Paella Arancini With Smoked Paprika Aioli
