YEW seafood + bar at Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver is pleased to announce our participation in this year’s Summer of Riesling campaign. Kicking off June 22, this two-month event features eight carefully chosen selections that showcase just how versatile, varied and tasty Riesling can be.
Guests are invited to enjoy a 2oz, 4oz or 6oz glass from YEW’s By The Glass wine dispenser system, or to gather some friends and enjoy it by the bottle. From Austria to Australia, Germany to Canada, these selections show Riesling’s stylistic diversity around the world. Each selection represents its regional distinction and stands among the best in its class. Included are Skillogalee, Sparkling Riesling from Clare Valley, Australia, and Rippon, Central Otago, 2010 from New Zealand. Also available is the British Columbian Tantalus Old Vines Riesling, 2008, and a delicious Eblin-Fuchs, Zellenberg, 2009 from Alsace, France. Whether you’re in the mood for something light and bubbly, or for something fuller, YEW has a Riesling to suit you.
The varietal really steps into the spotlight on July 5, when YEW seafood + bar hosts an exclusive and intimate dinner event. This sensory experience will introduce different regions and styles of Riesling, and pair them perfectly with internationally inspired cuisine. Renowned winemakers David Paterson and Fritz Hasselbach will be joining YEW seafood + bar Sommelier Emily Walker and Executive Chef Ned Bell to inspire guests with their passion and appreciation for Riesling.
