Wine Program Philosophy
The wine program at YEW seafood + bar reflects a close partnership between sommelier and chef. We offer guests a well-rounded selection of wines designed to enhance flavours and elevate their dining experience. We love a classic pairing but we also love to break the rules, celebrate new finds and support burgeoning wine regions and producers. Given the proximity and emergence of wineries in the Pacific Northwest, California and particularly BC, the wine program strives to feature the best from these regions.
Our “By The Glass” wine preservation system allows us to feature an eclectic selection of 14 carefully sourced red and white wines that pair perfectly with our seafood concept. This system is a great tool for highlighting our Sommelier’s “signature food and wine pairings”. One can easily find these pairings represented on the menu by a small icon next to the paired dish.
